Refund policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
Track Gallery sells digital licenses to music productions ("beats"). Every order is delivered electronically and takes effect immediately. Because of the nature of the product, all sales are final: we do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges, except in the specific cases listed in section 3 below.
Please read this policy and the License Agreement for your tier before you buy. Every beat has a free tagged preview so you can evaluate it first. If you are not sure which license you need, contact us — we would much rather help you choose than deal with a dispute afterwards.
1. Why all sales are final
A beat license is a digital product. The moment your payment is confirmed, the audio files (MP3, and WAV depending on the license) and your license contract are delivered to you, and the license rights are granted. A digital file cannot be returned: once delivered, it cannot be given back or removed from your possession. This is standard practice across digital music licensing.
2. Your right of withdrawal (EU and UK customers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, that right does not apply once delivery has begun with your prior express consent.
By completing your purchase you expressly request that delivery of the digital content begins immediately, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. This is provided for in Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and the equivalent provisions of UK law. Your completed purchase constitutes that consent and acknowledgement.
3. When we do refund you
We will refund you in full, without argument, in these cases:
- Duplicate payment — you were charged more than once for the same order.
- Non-delivery — you did not receive your files or your license contract, and we were unable to deliver them after you contacted us.
- Corrupt or incorrect files — the files you received are unusable or are not the beat you purchased, and we cannot supply a working replacement.
- Beat no longer available — you purchased a license for a beat that had already been sold exclusively and withdrawn from the store.
- Unauthorised payment — the purchase was made with your payment method without your permission, and this is confirmed.
In most of these cases the fix is faster than a refund and you keep the beat, so please contact us first.
4. When we do not refund you
- You changed your mind, or you no longer need the beat.
- You purchased the wrong license tier — see section 5, we will upgrade you instead.
- You did not read the license terms before purchasing.
- Your project, release or client fell through.
- You have already downloaded the files.
- You found the same beat, or a similar one, elsewhere. Non-exclusive licenses are non-exclusive by design: the same beat remains licensed to other artists unless and until someone purchases the Exclusive license.
- You are unhappy with a free tagged preview. Previews are provided free of charge for evaluation.
5. License upgrades instead of refunds
If the license you bought turns out to be too small for your release, you do not need a refund — you need an upgrade. Within 30 days of your purchase we will credit the full amount you paid for that beat towards a higher tier on the same beat, so you pay only the difference. Contact us with your order number. Upgrades are not available on the Exclusive license, and are not available once a beat has been sold exclusively.
6. Bundle & Save and free tracks
Tracks you receive at no cost through a Bundle & Save offer are fully licensed under exactly the same terms as the tracks you paid for. They carry no separate price and therefore no separate refund. If an order that included free tracks is refunded under section 3, the licenses for the free tracks in that order are revoked together with the paid ones.
7. Chargebacks
If you open a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us, your license is suspended immediately and is permanently revoked if the dispute is resolved against us. Any use of the beat after that point is unlicensed. We retain records of every order, delivery and download and will provide them to the payment provider. Section 3 exists precisely so that you do not have to do this — please write to us first.
8. How to request a refund
Contact us within 14 days of your purchase, including your order number, the email address you used and a description of the problem. We answer every request. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
9. Taxes
Where taxes were charged on your order, they are refunded together with the refunded amount.
